Earth Caring Begins Early

As an author, I write stories in service to the Earth. Stories about harmonious coexistence among humans and our natural world.

As an Earth Steward, I have planted milkweed for Monarch butterflies, hiked with wolves, and even spent time with elephants and cheetah’s at animal sanctuaries. When the opportunity comes, I dive in and swims with wild dolphins and whales.

Our Visit - What To Expect

Each visit is unique to the school, but I like to dig in with a hands-on approach, and include playful interactive conversations.

In all of our military moves, we’ve regenerated soil in California, Virginia, Rhode Island, Italy, and now here on island in Hawaii. Over that time, I learned the value of how the earth heals our souls. I’ve made it my mission to help bring these two pieces together.

My approach is to have in-depth conversations with team members, and then the youth. Youth working the grounds (hands-on training) it touches them in ways that help us humans develop greater compassion, a willingness to listen, be seen, heard, and be of service.

I believe touch is one of our greatest senses, so we get our hands dirty. From there, the fun begins.

We get dirty planting or making compost with yard clippings and food scraps. We learn the ways nature regenerates and interacts with the environment to everyone’s benefit.

I’ve lived long enough to know I’m not right all the time, so I enjoy working with a diverse team that can bring in new perspectives, and teach me too.

Let’s talk more about what you’re looking for and my solutions.

Below is a list of organizations I have worked with.

If any of these are of interest to you, please let me know in our initial call so I can incorporate it into our School visit.

"Just like a bee needs a flower,
a child needs nature."
